No one likes to think about what would happen if the boat you were on suddenly was sinking. It should be noted however that hundreds of vessels sink each year due to a variety of reasons. In the even that you are aboard one of these unfortunate vessels you better be prepared if you want to survive. If you work aboard a fishing boat or sail offshore for recreational purposes you need not only a PFD but also protection from the cold, a survival suit.
